NIL & Transfer Portal Day
We have developed specialized programming to support Black student-athletes in navigating the evolving landscape of Name, Image, and Likeness (NIL) and the transfer portal. Our education day and workshop equip young athletes and their families with the knowledge and tools to make informed decisions and maximize their opportunities. This transformative event features informative panels, interactive workshops, and networking opportunities tailored to the unique needs of this underserved demographic, empowering them to thrive in their academic and athletic pursuits.
The day will be divided into three distinct segments:
1. "The Bag & The Brand" - Equipping attendees with the skills and strategies to navigate the complex world of NIL deals, including personal branding, social media, and financial management.
2. "The Head, Heart & Hustle" - Addressing the emotional and mental well-being of student-athletes, focusing on mental health, self-esteem, and finding a healthy balance.
3. "The Transfer Portal" - Tackling the intricacies of the transfer process, including the coaching carousel, rules and regulations, and the mental health challenges that often arise.
Recognizing the unique challenges faced by Black student-athletes, we have curated a program that features only Black professionals, ensuring a culturally responsive and relatable experience for the attendees.
This event will take paces in various cities beginning in Atlanta and then Los Angeles. We welcome sponsor-partners.
